Opéra National de Paris Announces Program for Académie Gala at the Palais Garnier

The Opéra National de Paris will present its annual Académie Gala at the Palais Garnier on Jan. 20, 2026.

The program features artists-in-residence of the Académie performing with the Orchestre de l’Opéra National de Paris under the direction of Stephanie Childress and staging by Pascal Neyron.

The program includes Augusta Holmès’s “La Nuit et l’Amour” and selections from Debussy’s “L’Enfant prodigue” and “Pelléas et Mélisande” featuring Lorena Pires, Sofia Anisimova, and Clemens Frank.

A scene from “Dialogues des Carmélites” will feature Isobel Anthony, Sima Ouahman, Amandine Portelli, and Bergsvein Toverud, while excerpts from “Peter Grimes” showcase Daria Akulova, Ana Oniani, Neima Fischer, Sima Ouahman, and Portelli. There will also be selections from “The Rape of Lucretia” and “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” performed by Oniani, Anthony, Portelli, Matthew Goodheart, and Frank.

Finally, Ravel selections include scenes from “L’Enfant et les sortilèges” with Neima Fischer and Anisimova, and the Act II scenes of “L’Heure espagnole” featuring Luis Felipe Sousa, Portelli, Bergsvein Toverud, Goodheart, and Frank.
