Opéra National de Montpellier has announced that it will fully comply with the Presidential order by French President Emmanuel Macron that imposes the overnight curfew in Montpellier.

The opera house has stressed that it will maintain its original programming, but it will reschedule performance times, so that every spectator is able to leave the theater 45 minutes before the beginning of the curfew.

Macron imposed an overnight curfew in the capital of Paris and eight major cities, including Montpellier. France is currently battling a second wave of COVID-19. The country has logged 809,684 COVID-19 cases since the beginning of the pandemic, with the daily number of infections reaching its peak on October 15, 2020, with 30,621 new cases.

More details about the new performance times can be found here.
