Opéra National de Lorraine Names New Principal Guest Conductor

The Opéra National de Lorraine has announced that Giulio Cilona will be its next Principal Guest Conductor, starting during the 2024-25 season.
Cilona is the Kapellmeister at the Deutsche Oper Berlin and has led productions of such operas as “Turandot,” “La Bohème,” “Die Zauberflöte,” “Le Nozze di Figaro,” and “Il Triticco,” among others.
This coming season, the conductor will lead productions of “Don Pasquale” with the Opéra National de Lorraine. He will also lead a performance of “La Cenerentola” and Mahler’s Fifth Symphony in November.
In 2024-25, Cilona will make appearances with the Norwegian Opera and Ballet, Semperoper Dresden, the Bergen Philharmonic, and the Rossini Opera Festival, among others.
