Opera Naples announced that it has raised $542,000 at its Gala Bal a Paris.

The gala was held on Feb. 17, 2021, and featured Joseph Calleja who serenaded attendees with music by “Carmen” “La Traviata,” and “La Boheme.” The tenor was accompanied by Robin Frank.

The gala was held at Arthrex, Naples, and had socially distanced outdoor seating and a dining selection by Arthrex’s culinary team.

The gala was also held in anticipation of Opera Naples’ upcoming Festival which is set to present Calleja in concert, “West Side Story” starring Isabel Leonard, and “La Traviata” starring Leah Patridge. The festival will be held from March 10-13, 2021. Opera Naples is one of the few opera companies in the United States that will present live socially distanced opera.
