Opéra Monte Carlo Announces Scheduling Change for ‘I Due Foscari’

By David Salazar

The Opéra Monte Carlo has announced a schedule change for its upcoming performance of Verdi’s “I Due Foscari.”

The company has revealed that the production will now commence at 6:30 p.m. local time instead of a later start time. This schedule change was implemented due to new restrictions imposed due to continued concerns over COVID-19.

The production stars Plácido Domingo, Francesco Meli, Anna Pirozzi, Alexander Vinogradov, Giuseppe Tommaso, and Erika Beretti. Massimo Zanetti conducts.

The company is coming off a successful run of performances of “Carmen” and is set to present a concert featuring Javier Camarena this January. The organization is also slated to present productions of “Thaïs,” “Bel Canto,” “Le Comte Ory,” “I Lombardi alla Prima Crociata,” and “Boris Godunov.” It will also showcase a recital starring Bryn Terfel.
