Opera Memphis will celebrate Valentine’s Day weekend by presenting a Puccini Double Bill of “Suor Angelica” and “Gianni Schicchi.”

The showcases, which will take place on Feb. 14 and 15, will be conducted by Michael Sakir with Ned Canty directing.

“Suor Angelica” will star Kelly Kaduce in the title role with Phyllis Pancella as the Princess. Other cast members include Tahanee Aluwihare, Amanda Quinn, Amanda McGee, Robin Wilcox, and Elsa Swanson, among others.

“Gianni Schicchi” will also star Kaduce as Lauretta, with Todd Thomas taking on the comic title role. Philip Himebook will appear as Rinuccio with Bethania Baray as Nella. Pancella will play Zitta with Aluwihare as La Ciesca. Other cast members include Aaron Redburn, Daniel Spiotta, Jake Stamatis, Marcus King, Evelyn McGee, Eric Cupp, and Kris Grauel.
