In part of its opera for all series, Opera Maine will present Rossini’s “La Cenerentola.”

Israel Gursky will lead Hongni Wu, who will play the title role beside Jack Swanson as the prince, as well as Patrick Carfizzi, Robert Mellon, Katherine Henly, Rachel Barg, and William Guanbo Su. They are joined by the Opera Maine Orchestra and Chorus and directed by the company’s artistic director Dona D. Vaughn. The performance will be sung in Italian with English supertitles provided.

Opera Maine’s dramaturg Calien Lewis will be giving a pre-curtain presentation beginning one hour before the performances.

The two showings will take place at Merrill Auditorium on July 27 at 7:30 pm and July 30 at 2:30 pm. Tickets are free of charge for those 25 years old and under.
