Opera Maine to Present Verdi’s ‘Aida’

Opera Maine is set to present Verdi’s “Aida” this July at the Merrill Auditorium.

The production, which opens on Thursday, July 25 and has an additional performance on Sunday, July 28, will be conducted by Israel Gursky. Dona D. Vaugh directs the production which stars Courtney Johnson, Taylor Comstock, Hyona Kim, Brian Major, Daniel Sumegi, Matthew Anchel, and Alaysha Fox.

Prior to each performance there will be a pre-curtain presentation by Opera Maine’s dramaturg Calien Lewis.

The July 25 performance kicks off at 7:30 p.m. with the Sunday showcase starting at 2:30 p.m.
