Opera Magazine Hints At Upcoming Opera Projects For Antonio Pappano, Joseph Calleja, Michael Fabiano, Rolando Villazón & Others

Opera Magazine has revealed a number of role debuts and operas scheduled for upcoming seasons.

According to the February 2019 edition, Sir Antonio Pappano will conduct a new production of “Samson et Dalila” at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden in 2022. The Magazine also revealed that Rolando Villazón will continue directing opera at the Deutsche Oper am Rhein and next season will take on Bellini’s “I Puritani.”

The magazine also revealed that in 2021 Michael Fabiano and Ermonela Jaho will make role debuts in “Adriana Lecouvreur” at the Teatro Real de Madrid.

Meanwhile, Joseph Calleja will make his role debut as Enzo in “La Gioconda” at the Grange Opera Park in 2020 while Michele Angelini will sing Narciso in a new production of “Il Turco in Italia” at the Glyndebourne Festival in 2021.
