Opera Lafayette Unveils 2022-23 Season

Opera Lafayette has announced its 2022-23 season.

Starting things off with “Pergolesi,” a program featuring the music of Pergolesi. Conducted by Patrick Dupré Quigly and directed by Nick Olcott, the showcase will star such singers as Gwendoline Blondeel, Sarah Mesko, Hanna De Priest, Jonathan Woody, and Patrick Kilbride.

Performance Date: Feb. 2, 2023(Kennedy Center) and May 11, 2023 (Museo del Barrio, NYC)

Next up is a double bill of Rameau’s “Io” and De la Garde’s “Léandre et Héro.”  The works will be conducted by Justin Jonathan Taylor and will be headlined by Emmanuelle de Negri and Maxime Melnik.

Performance Date: May 2 & 3, 2023(Kennedy Center) and May 9, 2023 (Museo del Barrio, NYC)

The season closes with “In the Salons of Versailles,” a program led by Jacob Ashworth and starring soprano Emmanuelle de Negri.

Performance Date: Dec. 2, 2023 (Kennedy Center) and May 10, 2023 (Museo del Barrio, NYC)

The company will also host an annual gala as part of the New York Opera Festival.
