Opera in the Heights Returns to Live Performances with Pair of Outdoor Concerts

By Logan Martell

On April 24, 2021, Opera in the Heights is set to present a pair of outdoor concerts at The White Oak Music Hall.

Opera in the Heights Artistic Director Eiki Isomura will conduct several of the company’s rising artists for selections from Donizetti’s “Lucia di Lammermoor” and Mozart’sLe Nozze di Figaro.” The concerts come after the company reached out and surveyed many in the local community to determine the best way to deliver the remainder of their 2020-21 season programming.

“We found that our audience and our performers generally want the same thing: safe, in-person music-making,” noted Isomura in a press release. “While we are extremely proud of our venture into digital content earlier this season, we look forward to returning to live performances this spring in a safe outdoor setting.”

The performance dates are April 24 and 15, with tickets going on sale on March 16.
