Opera Holland Park Announces 2021 Season

Opera Holland Park has announced its 2021 season.

The festival will open in a redesigned, physically-distanced and semi-open auditorium and featuring five full productions:

The summer season will open with Mozart’s “Le Nozze di Figaro” with George Jackson conducting Oliver Platt’s production. The cast is set to include Julien Van Mellaerts, Nardus Williams, Elizabeth Karani, Ross Ramgobin, and Samantha Price. There will also be a performance for young artists.

Performance Dates: June 1-26, 2021

Lauren Fagan and Alison Langer alternate the title role of Verdi’s “La Traviata” with Matteo Desole and Stephen Aviss as Alfredo. Stephen Gadd rounds out the cast as Germont with Matthew Kofi Waldren conducting. Rodula Gaitanou directs.

Performance Dates: June 5-29, 2021

Mascagni’s “L’Amico Fritz” is set to be conducted by Beatrice Venezi and directed by Adele Thomas. Kiandra Howarth leads the cast which also includes Paul Carey Jones, Kezia Bienek, Themba Mvula, and Rose Stachniewska.

Performance Dates: July 16-31, 2021

Jennifer France, Harriet Eyley, Julia Sporsén, Grant Doyle, Ann Taylor, Charne Rochford, John Savournin, and Chuma Sijeqa star in Janacek’s “The Cunning Little Vixen.” Jessica Cottis conducts Stephen Barlow’s production.

Performance Dates: July 13-30, 2021

David Eaton conducts “The Pirates of Penzance” with John Savournin directing. Richard Burkhard, John Savournin, Yvonne Howard, Daisy Brown, Frederick Long, Peter Kirk, Trevor Eliot Bowes, and Alys Roberts star in the operetta.

Performance Dates: August 3-7, 2021
