Ópera de Tenerife has confirmed performances of Donizetti’s “Lucrezia Borgia.”

The Spanish theater announced that opera will be performed on Nov. 24, 26, and 28, 2020 after being postponed back in March due to the pandemic.

The opera will be headed by Spanish soprano Yolanda Auyanet and will be a co-production with the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, la Ópera de Oviedo y el Teatro de la Maestranza de Sevilla. Auyanet will sing alongside Antonino Siragusa, Simone Alberghini, and Na’ama Goldman.

The production will be directed by Silvia Paoli and Andriy Yurkevych will conduct.

The confirmation comes as COVID-19 cases have been rising in Spain and new restrictions have been put in place around different regions of the country. Several productions have been postponed including Ópera de Oviedo’s “Madama Butterfly” while the Gran Teatre del Liceu has canceled its “Don Giovanni.”
