The Opéra de Paris has canceled the opening night of “Manon” on Feb. 5, 2022.

The company announced that due to the identification of positive cases of COVID-19, it will not be able to present the opera this week.

The opening night cast was set to star Ailyn Pérez, Roberto Alagna, Jean Teitgen, Pierre Doyen, and Andrzej Filończyk with James Gaffigan conducting.

“Manon” will return to the stage on Feb. 11 and 17, 2022 with Pérez and Alagna. Later dates will star Atalla Ayan and Benjamin Bernheim alternating as Des Greiux.
