Opéra de Paris Cancels ‘Le Nozze di Figaro’ Performance Due to Health Crisis

By Francisco Salazar

The Opéra de Paris has canceled its Jan. 25 performance of “Le Nozze di Figaro.”

The company noted that despite all its efforts to maintain performances during the health crisis and following the unavailability of too many artists, it was forced to cancel the performance.

Ticketholders who paid with a credit card will automatically be refunded within a few days on the bank account used for the payment and in the event that spectators cannot be automatically reimbursed by re-crediting their payment cards, the amount will be transferred to their credit balance available on Opéra de Paris website.

Throughout the past weeks the company’s “Le Nozze di Figaro” has seen a number of changes with Luca Pisaroni, Anna El-Khashem, and Lea Desandre stepping into the cast.

“Le Nozze di Figaro” is expected to return to the stage on Jan. 27 and run through Feb. 18, 2022.
