Opéra de Paris Cancels ‘Cendrillon’ Performance Due to Strike

The Opéra de Paris has canceled its Nov. 7 performance of “Cendrillon” due to the National Strike.

The company said, “due to a nationwide strike affecting the cultural sector and involving some staff at the Paris Opera, the performance of the opera ‘Cendrillon’ scheduled on Tuesday 7th November 2023 at 7:30 pm at the Opéra Bastille is unfortunately cancelled.”

The company added that a ticket exchange for another show of the 23-24 season can be done according to availability.  Additionally, it is also offering a refund option.

“Cendrillon” was set to star Jeanine De Bique, Daniela Barcellona, Paula Murrihy, Caroline Wettergreen, Emy Gazeilles, Marine Chagnon, and Laurent Naori.

The work is next performed on Nov. 10, 2023.
