Opéra de Paris Announces Paris Opera Play

The Opéra de Paris has launched POP, Paris Opera Play, a new streaming platform, play.operadeparis.fr.

The new streaming platform will offer its audiences the opportunity to discover its shows online. The POP will also give its subscribers the opportunity to discover live performances and a catalog of 80 titles, regularly enriched, composed of recordings, documentaries, master classes, and other exclusive content that will allow them to discover the backstage and the artists of the institution.

The first stream of the platform will be on April 7, 2023, with “Nixon in China” starring Thomas Hampson and Renee Fleming.

On May 11, the company will present “Ariodante” by Händel live from the Palais Garnier conducted by Harry Bicket, directed by Robert Carsen.

This is the latest streaming platform following the Teatro alla Scala, which recently launched a platform, the Royal Opera House, and the Metropolitan Opera.
