Opéra de Paris Announces Cast Changes for ‘Œdipe’

Opéra de Paris has announced two cast changes for its upcoming production of Enesco’s “Œdipe”

The company announced that John Tomlinson has withdrawn from the role of Tirésias and will be replaced by Clive Bayley. Meanwhile, Graham Clark will no longer sing the role of Laïos. As a result, Yann Beuron will take over.

Ingo Metzmacher will conduct the new production by Wajdi Mouawad and will star Christopher Maltman in the title role, Brian Mulligan, Vincent Ordonneau, Laurent Naouri, Nicolas Cavallier, Adrian Timpau, Ekaterina Gubanova, Clémentine Margaine, Anna-Sophie Neher, Anne Sofie von Otter, and Daniela Entcheva.

“Œdipe” is set to be performed from Sept. 20 to Oct. 14, 2021 at the Opéra Bastille.
