Ópera de Oviedo Announces 2024-25 Season

The season opens with Donizetti’s “Anna Bolena” starring Javier Castañeda, Sabina Puértolas, Maite Beaumont, Carlos Daza, John Osborn, and Marifé Nogales.
Iván López-Reynoso conducts the production by Emilio López.
Performance Dates: Sept. 7-14, 2024
Rossini’s “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” will star Nico Darmanin, Daniel Umbelino, David Menéndez, Pablo López, Karina Demurova, Carmen Artaza, Germán Olvera, César San Martín, Fernando Latorre, and Frederic Jost. Lucía Marín conducts the production by Rita Cosentin.
Performance Dates: Oct. 5-12, 2024
Maite Alberola, María Hinojosa, Christoph Seidl, Carole Wilson, and Egils Silins star in Strauss’ “Arabella.” Corrado Rovaris conducts the production by Guy Joosten.
Performance Dates: Nov. 17-23, 2024
Carmen Giannattasio and Carmen Buendía star in Verdi’s “Aida” with Jorge de León, Facundo Muñoz, Simón Orfila, Jeroboám Tejera, Àngel Òdena, Alejandro Sánchez, Ketevan Kemoklidze, and Marina Pinchuk. Gianluca Marcianò conducts the production by Franco Zeffirelli.
Performance Dates: Dec. 13-21, 2024
Mozart’s “Le nozze di Figaro” will star José Antonio López, Fernando Campero, María José Moreno, María Zapata, Mercedes Gancedo, Inés Ballesteros, Pablo Ruiz, Abraham García, Anna Pennisi, and Serena Pérez.
Lucas Macías Navarro conducts the production by Emilio Sagi.
