Opéra de Montréal To Stream Special ‘La Bohème’ Production

The Opéra de Montréal has announced that the company will launch its online season on October 22 with Puccini’s “La Bohème.”

This production first premiered in 2011, and returned in 2017 in Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier at Place des Arts; it was also recorded and broadcast to an audience in Percival Molson Stadium to celebrate the City of Montreal’s 375th anniversary.

The broadcast will be free to stream on the company’s website, and available until November 5, 2020.

Conductor James Meena leads the Orchestre Metropolitain. The cast is comprised of young, Canadian artists, and includes France Bellemare as Mimi, Luc Robert as Rodolfo, Lucia Cesaroni as Musetta, Justin Welsh as Marcello, Christopher Dunham as Schaunard, and Alexandre Sylvestre as Colline.
