
Opéra de Montréal & Orchestre Métropolitain Announce New Artistic Partnership

Opéra de Montréal and Orchestre Métropolitain have announced a major artistic partnership.
The two companies announced that “over the next three years, the Orchestre Métropolitain will take part in a minimum of three opera productions per season. The partnership will also foster exchanges in training and the development of emerging artists, particularly between our Atelier lyrique and the Académie de direction d’orchestre.”
The first project will see the the alliance performance Strauss’ “Der Rosenkavalier” presented in concert version at the Maison symphonique de Montréal in January 2027.
The performance will be conducted by the OM’s Artistic Director and Principal Conductor, Yannick Nezet-Seguin with a cast that includes Diana Damrau, Erin Morley, Emily D’Angelo, and Peter Rose.
