Opéra de Monte-Carlo Announces Cast Change for ‘Deutsche Requiem’

The Opéra de Monte-Carlo has announced a cast change for Brahms’ “Ein Deutsche Requiem.”

The company said, “We would like to inform you that Simon Keenlyside, unwell, will be replaced by Florian Boesch.”

Boesch has performed all over the world in such theaters as Wigmore Hall, the Musikverein, Konzerthaus, the Het Concertgebouw, Maifestspiele Wiesbaden, the Salzburg Festival, Konzerthaus in Dortmund, Theater an der Wien, the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid, and the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg.

He is set to join soprano Regula Mühlemann and conductor Gianluca Capuano in a performance that will take place on Jan. 29, 2024.
