The Opéra de Marseille will begin streaming a recent production of Puccini’s “Tosca” on Feb. 28, 2021.

The company, which was set to present the repertory staple between Feb. 9-21, recorded the opera on Feb. 19 to stream with a cast starring Jennifer Rowley in the title role. She is joined by Marcelo Puente as Mario Cavaradossi, and Samuel Youn as Baron Scarpia. The opera also stars Loïc Félix as Spoletta, Jean-Marie Delpas as Sciarrone, and Patrick Bolleire as Angelotti.

The opera was conducted by Giuliano Carella and directed by Louis Désiré.

The company is currently rehearsing “Luisa Miller” for mid-March and is also set to present “Les Pêcheurs de Perles” in April. There will also be a series of concerts from the Orchestre Philharmonique de Marseille, among others.
