Ópera de las Palmas Reschedules Performances Starring Piotr Beczala, Jessica Pratt, Celso Albelo

The Ópera de las Palmas de Gran Canaria in Spain has announced the rescheduling of two productions previously postponed due to the COVID-19 crisis.

The company announced that the canceled “Aida” production will now be performed in 2022.

Additionally, Puccini’s “La Bohème,” which was originally scheduled for May will now be performed on Sept. 16, 18, and 20 and will star Piotr Beczala. The cast will also include Lianna Haroutounian, Marina Monzo, and Angelo Veccia.

Meanwhile, Verdi’s “La Traviata,” which was scheduled for June, will now be performed   Oct. 20, 22 & 24, 2020. Jessica Pratt and Celso Albelo star in the lead roles.

The productions will also be moved from the Teatro Perez Galdos to the Auditorio Alfredo Kraus, which has 800 seats. The company will follow all regulations and protocols due to COVID-19.
