The Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santo Domingo and Ópera de Colombia will be releasing a video production of “Gianni Schicchi” on Nov. 5, 2020.

The production, which will be streamed until Nov. 12 via the Bancolombia and Teatro Mayor online platform, will feature performances from the Orquesta Filarmónica Juvenil de la Orquesta Filarmónica de Bogotá, as well as 15 vocal soloists.

Taking on the title role will be Valeriano Lanchas and he will be joined by such artists as Sofia Salazar, Sara Bermúdez, Christian Correa, Héctor Camacho, Laura Gómez, Laureano Quant, Juan David González, Hyalmar Mitrotti, Mónica Danilov, Cristhian Carillo, Erwin Barrera, Camilo Mendoza, Carlos Cerchiaro, and Ernesto Angulo. The production will be directed by Ramiro Gutiérrez Castro with Alejandro Roca at the podium.

The opera was recorded over the course of three days this past October.
