Opera Columbus has announced its 2022-23 season.

Sofia Selowsky, Cody Muller, Gideon Dabi, Michelle Trainor, and Ivy Zhou star in Rossini’s “La Cenerentola.” Richard Gammon directs, while Kelly Kuo conducts.

Performance Dates: Oct. 28 & 30, 2022

Monica Danilov and Paul La Rosa star in Piazzolla’s “Maria de Buenos Aires” with Dennis Whitehead Darling directing and Rolando Salazar conducting.

Performance Dates: Feb. 24 & 26, 2023

Verdi’s “Rigoletto” concludes the season with Aubry Ballaro and Hannah Marie Bullock starring. Eve Summer directs the masterpiece.

Performance Dates: March 31 & April 1, 2023

The Cooper-Bing Competition returns. The internationally recognized vocal competition that has celebrated and supported emerging young artists in opera for the past 39 years. Dubbed the ”Olympics of Opera,” the competition encourages talent, creates artistic opportunity, and helps welcome the next generation into the professional opera community. Five finalists will compete for the grand prize of $10,000!

Performance Date: April 30, 2023
