Opera Atelier Unveils 2024-25 Season

Opera Atelier has announced its 2024-25 season.

The season opens with “Acis and Galatea.” The work will feature Antonin Rondepierre, Blaise Rantoanina, Meghan Lindsay, and Douglas Williams. The production features choreography by Opera Atelier Co-Founder and Choreographer Jeannette Lajeunesse Zingg.  Christopher Bagan conducts.

“We are particularly proud to introduce these two exceptional young tenors to our Toronto audience in their North American debuts,” Pynkoski said in an official press statement regarding the debuts of Rondepierre and Rantoanina. “I have had the pleasure of directing them in Grétry’s ‘Caravane du Caire’ and Charpentier’s ‘David and Jonathan,’ and I welcome this opportunity to deepen our relationship.”

Performance Date: Oct. 24-27, 2024

Then comes Charpentier’s “David and Jonathan.” David Fallis will conduct the production by Co-artistic Directors Marshall Pynkoski C.M. and Jeannette Lajeunesse Zingg C.M which opened in 2022. The opera stars David Witczak, Antonin Rondpierre, Colin Ainsworth, and Mireille Asselin.

Performance Date: April 9 -13, 2025
