Oper Frankfurt has announced a cast change for its “Norma” production.

The company said that Stefano La Colla will take over the role of Pollione for the final performances, replacing Angelo Villari.

La Colla stepped in for the May 3 and 15 performances.

The tenor is well known for his Italian repertoire, having performed at the Teatro alla Scala, Bavarian State Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Berlin State Opera, Rome Opera House, Vienna State Opera, La Monnaie, Dutch National Opera and Gran Teatre del Liceu, among others.

He is set to join a cast that includes Marigona Qerkezi, Bianca Andrew, and Simon Lim. Giuliano Carella conducts the production by Christof Loy. “Norma” runs through May 31.
