Only Stage Management & Classics Management Budapest Partner for 1st Only Stage International Conducting Competition

Only Stage Management Company, in partnership with Classics Management Budapest, has unveiled the first edition of the Only Stage International Conducting Competition.

Held exclusively online, the competition is open to musicians of any age and nationality, who are eligible to apply now through April 15, 2021.

The first prize winner will receive a cash prize of  £ 2.000,00 plus a concert with MAV Symphony Orchestra in 2020, a concert with the Orpheus Academy Orchestra at the Oregon Music Festival in 2023 as well as a concert with the Orchestra della Magna Grecia during the 2022-23 season.

The recipient of the second prize will get a £ 1.500,00 cash prize, a concert with the Pazardjik Symphony Orchestra in 2022, and a concert with the Symphony Orchestra of Lecce and Salento OLES in 2022-23.

Finally, the third prize winner will get £ 1.000,00 and a private workshop with conductor Oleg Caetani.

Among the jury will be artistic directors and representatives of companies such as Luzerner Sinfonie Orchestra in Switzerland, LaVerdi Symphony Orchestra in Italy, Orchestra della Magna Grecia in Italy, Oregon Music Festival in America, and the Royal College of Music in the U.K.

Supported by the Arts Council England, the competition is inspired by the companies’ respective years of experience in managing international conductors.
