Omaha Symphony Finds New Principal Guest Conductor & Artistic Advisor

JoAnn Falletta has been announced as the Principal Guest Conductor and Artistic Advisor of the Omaha Symphony.

She will join at the beginning of the 2025-26 Season.

In her new position, she will work with the orchestra to ensure the orchestra’s artistic vitality during its music director transition.

Falletta serves as Music Director of the Buffalo Philharmonic and the Virginia Symphony. She is also the Principal Guest Conductor of the Brevard Music Center and Conductor Laureate of the Hawaii Symphony.

She was recently named one of the “Fifty Great Conductors,” past and present, by Gramophone Magazine. Falletta has also guest conducted with the orchestras of Dallas, Boston, Baltimore, Detroit, Nashville, Indianapolis, Houston, Milwaukee, Calgary, Vancouver, Quebec, Tulsa, Charleston, and Rochester.
