Oksana Dyka & Anna Nechaeva Star in Opera Hong Kong’s ‘Tosca’

Opera Hong Kong is set to present “Tosca” on Oct. 11 – 15 at the Grand Theatre of Hong Kong Cultural Centre.

Performances are shared by two casts. Cast A (Oct. 11, 13, and 15) stars Ukrainian soprano Oksana Dyka as Floria Tosca, with tenor Roberto Aronica in the role of Mario Cavaradossi, and baritone Claudio Sgura as Scarpia. Angelotti is sung by Gabriele Ribis, Spoletto by Henry Ngan, and Sacristan by Albert Lim.

Russian Soprano Anna Nechaeva takes on the title role in Cast B (Oct. 12 and 14) with tenor Rame Lahaj as Mario Cavaradossi, and baritone Sun Li in the role of Scarpia. Apollo Wong sings Angelotti with Chen Yong as Spoletto, and Lam Kwok Ho as Sacristan. Patrick Chan portrays Sciarrone and Un Carceriere in all performances.

Yves Abel conducts the Opera Hong Kong Orchestra, Chorus, and Children’s Chorus. Alex Tam serves as the chorus director and Vincent Boussard as the director and costume designer.

“Tosca” will be performed in Italian with Chinese and English Supertitles.
