Odyssey Opera is set to continue its Tudor season with “Elisabeta, Regina d’Inghilterra” on March 13-15, 2020 at the Huntington Avenue Theatre in Boston, Massachusetts.

The production of the Rossini opera, which was written by Giovanni Schmidfrom, will feature Serena Farnocchia in the title role with Eric Fennell as the Earl of Leicester and Spencer Hamlin as the Duke of Norfolk. Lucia Cesaroni will interpret Matilde with mezzo-soprano Erica Brookhyser as Enrico and Mark Tempesta as Guglielmo.

Gil Rose, Odyssey Opera’s Artistic and General Director will conduct.

We hope audiences will join Odyssey in rediscovering this neglected masterpiece,” Rose stated in a press release. “This is a great opportunity to experience a rare offering from one of opera’s most beloved composers!”

Odyssey Opera’s Tudor season will conclude with Benjamin Britten’s “Gloriana” this April, followed by Edward German’s “Merrie England” in June.
