Sarah Elizabeth Reedy, a former marketing intern for the Pittsburgh Opera has died at the age of 31.

Born on Oct. 24, 1989, Reedy grew up in Denton and graduated from Denton Ryan High School and Texas State University. She went on to receive her Master’s at Carnegie Mellon University in Arts Management in 2020.

Reedy was known for her passion for baseball, singing, music, and Broadway.

In a statement, the Pittsburgh Opera said, “Our hearts go out to the family of Sarah Reedy, a former marketing intern here at Pittsburgh Opera. Pittsburgh Opera is contributing to the campaign to plant a tree in her honor, and welcome all to do the same. She will be truly, truly missed.”

Reedy’s memorial service was held at The Bridge Church. She is survived by her husband John Reedy, whom she married on July 11, 2020.
