Obituary: BBC Chorus Member William Noce Dies

The BBC Chorus has announced that chorus member William Noce has died at the age of 64.

Noce was an IREX scholarship student at the Kodaly Institute in Kecskemet and went on to study voice at the Liszt Academy with Sylvia Sass and Yevgeni Nesterenko.
He later studied with John Shirley-Quirk privately as baritone. He then gave his first Hungarian performances in Budapest performing American art-songs by Aaron Kernis and Harrison Boyle.
A member of the BBC Chorus where he sang for many years in London, he was also a teacher in numerous schools. He taught in Philadelphia and London and also held posts at the American International schools in Budapest and Athens.
