North/South Consonance To Present ‘Open Borders’ Concert

North/South Consonance will present “Open Borders” on June 4, 2019 at Christ & St. Stephen’s Church in Manhattan’s Upper West Side.

Conductor Max Lifchitz will lead the North/South Consonance Ensemble through a performance of music by composers hailing from the U.S., Mexico, and Brazil.

The program is set to include Jorge Antunes’ “Columbine Lunaire,” Timothy Kramer’s “Open Borders,” Max Lifchitz’ “Yellow Ribbons No. 35,” Paul Richards’ “Ouroboros,” and Sarah Wald’s “Bacchanale.”

Featured performers will include flutist Lisa Hansen, clarinetist Sammy Lesnick, violinist Mioi Takeda, cellist Marisol Espada, percussionist Sam Budish, and pianist Helen Lin.

Concert admission is free, and no reservation is required. The concert will begin at 8 p.m. and is set to end at 9:30 p.m.
