North South Consonance to Present ‘America Latina Canta’

North South Consonance is set to present “America Latina Canta” on Oct. 6, 2024.

The showcase, described as “A Fascinating Array of Latin American Art Songs” will take place at Scorca Hall – National Opera Center at 7 p.m. Headlining the performance will be soprano Maria Brea, mezzo-soprano Eugenia Forteza, tenor Mario Arevalo, and tenor Edgar Miguel Abreu.

The four soloists are joined by pianist Max Lifchitz as they take on works by Piazzolla, Chacon, Catan, Leon, Goble, Villa-Lobos, Ramirez, and Lifchitz himself.

The concert will also be live streamed via the National Opera Center’s official YouTube. It is being presented in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
