Nino Machaidze, Santiago Ballerini, Karine Deshayes, Teresa Iervolino & John Osborn Lead Opéra de Marseille’s 2025-26 Season

The Opéra de Marseille has announced its 2025-26 season.

Opera 

Verdi’s “Falstaff” will be showcased in a production by Denis Podalydès and conducted by Michele Spotti. Salomé Jicia, Hélène Carpentier, Teresa Iervolino, Giulio Mastrototaro, Alberto Robert, and Florian Sempey star.

Performance Dates: Nov. 9-15, 2025


Alessandro Cadario conducts Rossini’s “Il Barbiere di Siviglia” with Pierre-Emmanuel Rousseau directing. The production will star Éléonore Pancrazi, Santiago Ballerini, Vito Priante, Marc Barrard, and Alessio Cacciamani.

Performance Dates: Dec. 26, 2025-Jan. 4, 2026


Nino Machaidze, Antonio Poli, Nicola Alaimo, and Giorgi Manoshvili lead Verdi’s “I Masnadieri.” Paolo Arrivabeni conducts the concert performance.

Performance Date: Feb. 8, 2026


Michele Spotti conducts Rossini’s “Ermione” with Karine Deshayes, Teresa Iervolino, Marina Fita, Enea Scala, Levy Sekgapane, and Matteo Macchioni starring.

Hélène Carpentier, Angélique Boudeville, Ana Escudero, Eugénie Joneau, Florence Laurent, Marc Barrard, and Léo Vermot-Desroches star in Poulenc’ “Dialogues des carmélites.” Debora Waldman conducts the production by Louis Désiré.

Performance Dates: March 25-29, 2026


Michele Spotti conducts Wagner’s “Das Rheingold” with a cast that includes Marion Lebègue, Élodie Hache, Cornelia Oncioiu, Alexandre Duhamel, Zoltán Nagy, Marius Brenciu, Yoann Dubruque, Éric Huchet, Samy Camps, Patrick Bolleire, and Louis Morvan. Charles Roubaud directs.

Performance Dates: May 5-13, 2026


Judith Fa, Charlotte Despaux, Jean-Gabriel Saint-Martin, Anas Seguin, and Estelle Mazzillo star in Mozart’s “Le Nozze di Figaro.” Gaspard Brécourt conducts the production by Éric Perez

Performance Date: June 4 & 5, 2026


Paolo Arrivabeni conducts Verdi’s “Rigoletto” with Ruth Iniesta, Deniz Uzun, Marie Lenormand, Sebastian Catana, John Osborn, and Patrick Bolleire. Charles Roubaud directs.

Performance Dates: June 7-16, 2026


Operette

Francis Lopez’s “Andalousie” will star Julia Knecht, Laurence Janot, Julie Morgane, Anny Vogel, Jérémy Duffau, Fabrice Todaro, Sébastien Lemoine, and Damien Barra. Didier Benetti conducts the production by Carole Clin.

Performance Dates: Nov. 29 & 30, 2025


Vincent Scotto’s “Violettes impériales” will be conducted by Didier Benetti and directed by Carole Clin. Amandine Ammirati, Julie Morgane, Perrine Cabassud, Simone Burles, Frédéric Cornille, Dominique Desmons, Fabrice Todaro, Jean Goltier, and Jean-Claude Calon.

Performance Dates: Jan. 17 & 18, 2026


Laurence JAanot leads “Hello Dolly!” with Julie Morgane, Élisabeth Aubert, Sabrina Kilouli, Rémi Cotta, Fabrice Todaro, Gregory Juppin, Guillaume Rivaud, and Jean-Luc Épitalon. Didier Benetti conducts the production by Carole Clin.

Performance Dates: March 7 & 8, 2026

Les Dimaches d’Offenbach

“Il signor Fagotto” will star Margot Fillol, Aurélie Fargues, Aude Fabre, Till Fechner, Franck T’Hézan, and Xavier Muconduit. Jean-Christophe Keck conducts.

Morgane Bertrand and Christophe Gay lead “Luc et Lucette” with conductor Jean-Christophe Keck leading the work.
