The Orchestre Philharmonique et Choeur des Mélomanes (OPCM) has announced its 2026-27 season which will celebrate its 12th season. the theme for the season will be “Romanticism.”

In a statement Music Director, Artistic Director, and Founder, Francis Choinière said, “This season is an invitation to immerse ourselves in the heart of the great emotions that define the human experience. The works of Brahms, Verdi, and Rachmaninoff continue to resonate today because they explore universal themes: love, suffering, hope, and the search for meaning in our lives. It is this timeless power of music that we hope to share with audiences throughout the OPCM’s 12th season.”

The season opens with Brahms’ “Requiem” and Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto No. 2, which will feature violinist Guillaume Villeneuve, alongside soloists Aline Kutan and Geoffroy Salvas.

Performance Date: Dec. 12, 2026

Verdi’s “La Traviata” will star Nino Machaidze (Violetta), Piotr Buszewski (Alfredo), and Gregory Dahl (Germont).

Performance Dates: Jan. 29 & 30, 2027

The season concludes with Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 and “The Bells.” The concert will feature pianist Alain Lefèvre and vocal cast including Sydney Baedke, Sam Champagne, and Matthew Li.
