Nicole Heaston, Aryeh Nussbaum Cohen, Anthony Roth Costanzo, Kangmin Justin Kim, Rihab Chaieb Headline Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra & Chorale’s 2022-23 Season

The Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra & Chorale has announced its 2022-23 season.

For the purposes of this article, our focus will be on vocal and operatic performances.

It all starts with Händel’s “Theodora.” Richard Egarr conducts a cast starring Julie Roset, Helen Charlston, Aryeh Nussbaum Cohen, Thomas Cooley, and Dashon Burton.

Performance Dates: Oct. 20 – 23, 2022

 Richard Egarr will lead Händel’s “Messiah” with such soloists as Stefanie True, Rihab Chaieb, Andrew Tortise, and Joshua Bloom.

Performance Dates: Dec. 14 – 18, 2022

Richard Egarr will conduct Händel’s “Amadigi di Gaula” starring Anthony Roth Costanzo, Deanna Breiwick, Nicole Heaston, and Kangmin Justin Kim.

Performance Dates: April 20 -22, 2023

Richard Egarr will conduct “From Muffat to Mason,” a concert featuring music by Mason Bates, Schmelzer, Biber, and Muffat” with Maya Kherani, Nola Richardson, Siman Chung, Reginald Mobley, Spence Britten, James Reese, Cody Quattlebaum, and Jonathan Woody.

Performance Dates: April 27 -30, 2023

There will also be a few special programs including “The Artist as Human” with Davóne Tines, Nola Richardson, and conductor David Belkovski.

Performance Dates: Feb. 16 – 17, 2023
