Nicole Cabell Appointed To Voice Faculty in Eastman School of Music

Nicole Cabell has been appointed to the Faculty of the Eastman School of Music at the University of Rochester in the position of Assistant Professor of Voice beginning fall of 2020.

Cabell earned a Bachelor of Music from Eastman in 2001, and is currently Assistant Professor of Voice at DePaul University.

Cabell won the 2005 BBC Cardiff Singer of the World and has since performed with such distinguished companies as Royal Opera House Covent Garden, San Francisco Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Metropolitan Opera, Grand Théâtre de Genève, Santa Fe Opera, and Washington National Opera.

“I’m incredibly honored to join the peerless, distinguished faculty of the Eastman School of Music,” Cabell stated in a press release. “It has been a dream of mine since my graduation at Eastman in 2001 to be part of this community and I greatly look forward to serving Eastman to the very best of my abilities.”

“I am excited about welcoming back to Eastman one of our very distinguished graduates, and for her to share with our community her artistry, her teaching, and all that she has learned throughout a remarkable career,” Jamal J. Rossi, the Joan and Martin Messinger Dean at Eastman, added in a press release.
