The New York Festival of Song has announced its 30th Anniversary Celebration, which will feature a star-studded cast.

The performance is slated for April 24, 2018, at Merkin Concert Hall at the Kaufman Music Center.

The concert is slated to include a wide range of songs from such composers as Vaughn Williams, Blitzstein, Bolcom, Dvorak, Grieg, Rachmaninoff, Schubert, Granados, Eubie Blake, Hoagy Carmichael, Adam Guettel, and Jonathan Larsen.

Among the artists featured will be Paul Appleby, John Brancy, Antonina Chehovska, Lauren Worsham, Julia Bullock, William Sharp, Theo Hoffman, and pianists Steven Blier and Michael Barrett.

“Years ago, the critic Justin Davidson called NYFOS ‘the longest-running song party in New York,’” stated NYFOS co-founder and Artistic Director Steven Blier, per a press release.  “At the time we were still comparative youngsters. Since then we’ve passed our Crystal, China, and Silver Anniversaries, and are now up to our Pearl Anniversary. Three decades of song! To celebrate, we are gathering some of our dearest singer-colleagues to sing some of our favorite songs. The smorgasbord goes from Bolcom to Schubert, Granados to Guettel, a playlist of decadent beauty. Join us as we survey the wide, wide, NYFOS panorama with a gorgeous cast of vocalists.”
