New York City Opera to Present Opera! Pike! Park!
By Francisco SalazarThe New York City Opera has announced that it will perform as part of the fundraiser for Opera! Pike! Park!
The evening will be held on August 24, 2024, at 7 p.m. at the Milford Theater in Pennsylvania.
The concert will showcase soprano Inna Dukach, tenor Gregory Turay, and pianist Dmitriy Glivinskiy performing selections from Verdi’s “La Traviata,” Puccini’s “Manon Lescaut,” and “Madama Butterfly” and Menotti’s “The Old Maid and the Thief.”
There will also be musical selections from “Carousel” and “Showboat as well as Neapolitan songs by Ruggero Leoncavallo, Luigi Denza & Peppino Turco, Francesco Paolo Tosti, and Eduardo di Capua & Alfredo Mazzucchi.
Dukach is a soprano who has performed at the Israeli Opera, Savonlinna Opera Festival, Opéra Lyra Ottawa, Opera de Oviedo, New York City Opera, San Diego, Opera, Anchorage Opera, and Opera Omaha.
Tenor Turay is a 2001 Richard Tucker Award recipient and the winner of The Metropolitan Opera National Council in New York.
