New York City Opera to Present ‘Lucia di Lammermoor’

Bryant Park Picnic Performances presented by Bank of America is set to present the New York City Opera’s fourth and final summer 2022 performance at Bryant Park.

The company will showcase a special one-night-only abridged version of Donizetti’s “Lucia di Lammermoor.”

The production will star soprano Sarah Coburn, tenor WooYoung Yoon, and the bass-baritone Mark Delavan. It will be directed by Shayna Leahy and conducted by City Opera Music Director Maestro Constantine Orbelian.

The cast will be rounded out by Tair Tazhigulov (Raimondo Bidebent), Elissa Pfaender (Alisa), Ziwen Xiang (Arturo), and Samuel Ng (Normanno).

Michael Capasso, General Director of New York City Opera, noted in a statement, “‘The People’s Opera’ is thrilled to return to our summer home at Bryant Park, where we can continue our mission of free performances for New York audiences.”

“Lucia di Lammermoor” is set to be presented on Sept. 2, 2022.
