New York City Opera to Present ‘Caruso and His Songs’

New York City Opera is set to present “Caruso and His Songs” on Feb. 21, 2024.

The concert will be held at Zankel Hall at Carnegie Hall and will feature tenor Mark Milhofer and pianist Marco Scolastra.

The concert will pay homage to one of the most famous singers of all time with a recital made up of songs written by and for Enrico Caruso.

Milhofer has discovered at least 90 songs written for and dedicated to Caruso. The program will include music by Enrico Caruso/Riccardo Barthelemy, Ruggiero Leoncavallo, Francesco Paolo Tosti, Caruso/Calogero Adolfo Bracco, Pier Adolfo Tirindelli, Mario Ferrarese, Raoul Gunsbourg, Luigi Denza, Caruso/Earl Carroll, Gaetano Calamani, Caruso/Vincenzo Billi, Mary Helen Brown, Arturo Buzzi-Peccia, and Gabriele Sibella.
