Opera Naples is teaming up with Theater in the Garden and the Luciano Pavarotti Foundation to secure land purchase for the home of the Luciano Pavarotti Foundation.

The organizations revealed that they received a seven-figure gift from a funding source that wishes to remain anonymous.

The project will feature a multi-purpose venue that houses a 900-seat indoor theater, outdoor ampitheater, an opera museum, the Luciano Pavarotti Foundation Opera Naples International Voice Competition, and an opera-themed restaurant. It is set to be the first Foundation location outside of Modena, Italy.

“I am beyond grateful to our anonymous donor for guaranteeing the funding to purchase the land for our grand vision,” Nicoletta Pavarotti, President of the Luciano Pavarotti Foundation, said per an official press release. “The Luciano Pavarotti Foundation has greatly enjoyed our partnership with Opera Naples over this past year, including our exciting performances happening this weekend of Don Pasquale and our International Voice Competition. We believe we have tremendous momentum started as our partnership continues to blossom, and we can all dream together with Theater in the Garden about the artistic greatness we will achieve in the years to come.”

Additionally, Theater in the Garden will host the Luciano Pavarotti Foundation Opera Naples Academy. Meanwhile, the Opera Museum will showcase costumes worn by stars around the opera world as well as posters, scores, videos, and lifetime memorabilia.

The space is set to cost around $25 – 30 million.
