New Information Revealed Regarding Julian Wachner’s Arrest for Possession of Child Pornography

By David Salazar

Recently released court documents have revealed that Julian Wachner, composer and conductor, was using cryptocurrency hundreds of times to purchase child pornography.

The news comes after Wachner was arrested in Indianapolis for possession of  child pornography.

Per a report by WTHR, the investigation began when Robinhood notified authorities that one of its users was purchasing child pornography using its app. Wachner was allegedly transferring the cryptocurrency from the app to a specific dark website that is known to be a provider of child sex abuse material.

Between August 22, 2024 and Feb. 14, 2025, Wachner spent $840 on three separate transactions.

Wachner admitted to visiting the dark website in an interview with police and confirmed the Robinhood report. He reportedly used the tokens purchased with cryptocurrency hundreds of times to obtain content from that website. Moreover, Wachner admitted to purchasing child abuse material that depicted minors between age one to 16 with an emphasis on children between ages six through 13.

Wachner was hired as a fourth grade teacher at Invent LEarning Hub in 2024 following a background check. However, this is not the music director’s first scandal. In 2022, he was accused of sexual assault by a Juilliard employee. He was then dismissed by Trinity Wall Street, where he served as Music Director for 11 years.
