New Camerata Opera’s Set To Preview Season At Black & White Gala

For the second year in its history, the New Camerata Opera will showcase its Black and White gala on Friday, Sept. 21, 2018.

The event is set to preview the company’s 2018-19 season, which will feature live performances. The company is also holding a silent auction for those attending and those unable to attend with winners set to be announced during the event.

Per a press release, “Operatic performances will entertain the audience throughout the evening and will include works by Verdi, Rossini, Bizet and Mascagni.” There will also be a scene from the upcoming “Rumpelstiltskin” with pianist Eric Sedgwick accompanying the performances throughout the night.

The company’s 2018-19 season is set to include a double bill of Blow’s “Venus & Adonis” coupled with Holst’s “Savitri,”Sankaram’s “Enchantress,” and Britten’s “The Rape of Lucretia,” among other works.
