The New Camerata Opera is set to showcase “Heroines of Opera” on March 26, 2019.

The event will feature arias and songs that represent the strongest female characters in the world. The performance is expected to be a preview for the company’s hotly anticipated production of “The Rape of Lucretia,” which will be directed by Bea Goodwin and will star Allison Gish in the title role. Goodwin will also present her vision for the Britten opera.

Among the performers at the “Heroines of Opera” will be Erik Bagger, Allison Gish, Stan Lacy, Nicole Leone, Barbara Porto, Alexa Smith, Mithuna Sivaraman, and Eva Parr. They will be accompanied by pianist Brian Holman.

The event will take place at The Flea Theater and will be preceded by a cocktail hour. The performance kicks off at 7:30 p.m.
