New Camerata Announces Roster for ‘Masquerade’

New Camerata Opera will open its 2020-21 season with a “Masquerade” on Oct. 22, 2020.

The showcase will take place at Anita’s Way in New York City at 7 and 8:30 p.m. ET.

The event will be presented in collaboration with Chashama and will feature pianist Doug Han leading a group of artists including soprano Samina Aslam, María Brea, MaKayla McDonald, and Barbara Porto; mezzo-sopranos Linda Collazo, and Eva Parr; tenors Erik Bagger, Rashard Deleston, and Victor Khodadad; baritones Angky Budiardjono and Stan Lacy; and bass Kofi Hayford.

The company previously announced its 2020-21 season, which will include “The Sleuth Salon” in November as well as a YouTube series “Party at the Opera” and the final episode of “The Ives Project.”

The 2020-21 slate represents New Camerata Opera’s fifth season.
