NDR Radiophilharmonie Announces Next Chief Conductor

Hannover’s NDR Radiophilharmonie has announced that Stanislav Kochanovsky will be its next chief conductor. His tenure kicks off during the 2024-25 season.

Kochanovsky will take over for Andrew Manze who held the position for three years.  His next engagement with the NDR Radiophilharmonie is in November and December 2023.

Kochanovsky was born in St. Petersburg and led over 60 opera and ballet performances at the Mikhailovsky Theater. He has also conducted performances at Zurich Opera House, the Dutch National Opera in Amsterdam.

Next up for Kochanovsky are engagements with The Cleveland Orchestra, the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra, the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia, the Basque National Orchestra, and the Orchestre Philharmonique de Strasbourg.
